Ashley Cimino-Mathews, M.D., is a Professor of Pathology and Oncology and the Director of Breast Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her B.S. from Emory University, where she studied breast cancer tumor vaccine development, followed by her M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College and residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Cimino-Mathews is an internationally recognized expert on the breast cancer tumor immune microenvironment and immune biomarker testing. She has published over 115 articles in the fields of surgical and breast pathology and the tumor immune microenvironment; co-authored three books on diagnostic pathology; and authored multiple book chapters related to breast pathology. Dr. Cimino-Mathews is currently the Associate Editor for breast pathology for Modern Pathology.
